The leaders emphasized that Russia’s actions threaten global stability, with economic disruptions rippling across supply chains, food security, and energy markets. They warned that the conflict undermines multilateral trade efforts, making cooperation within APEC more crucial than ever.
In their statement, the three nations called on Russia to cease its aggression and commit to a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
They also pledged to uphold international law, reinforcing their stance on protecting democratic values and economic resilience within the Asia-Pacific region.
With this declaration New Zealand, Australia and Canada signal their commitment to standing with Ukraine and ensuring that global institutions remain strong in defending sovereignty and stability.
