Teams will offer users the familiar features of Skype, such as one-on-one calls, group calls, messaging, and file sharing, along with enhanced capabilities like hosting meetings, managing calendars, and building communities—all at no cost.
The shift comes as hundreds of millions have already adopted Teams for work, school, and home use, with meeting minutes quadrupling in the past two years. Microsoft aims to ensure a smooth transition by enabling easy login to Teams with Skype accounts.

Transition Plans for Skype Users Announced
