News | 26 July | Housing | The Mt Roskill Labour Party was very pleased to have hosted Labour housing spokesperson Kieran McAnulty for a public meeting on housing issues.
Housing remained one of the most important issues in our community. From the cost of housing for first home buyers, to the cost and standards of rental properties, and the big impact of large-scale redevelopments in our community, housing mattered in Mt Roskill and Auckland.
As Labour’s housing spokesperson, Kieran had a key role in shaping Labour’s housing policy. Attendees came along to hear about his priorities and to share their views. Kieran and Labour were keen to listen.
Kieran McAnulty discussed Labour’s housing policies, emphasizing the need for government funding to support infrastructure for housing development. He stressed maintaining high building standards and the importance of long-term planning to address the housing crisis. McAnulty also criticized the current government’s approach, highlighting the need for thorough planning and accountability.
